Troubleshooting

ESPHome isn't on your PATH.

pip won't install into system Python.

Can't see the ESP32 over USB.

LVGL needs the ESP-IDF framework, not Arduino.

Can't reach the device over Wi-Fi for OTA.

API connection isn't established.

Unstable Wi-Fi connection.

Display driver or backlight issue.

SPI pins are swapped or wrong.

Color byte order mismatch.

Rotation mismatch.

Touchscreen and display rotation are out of sync.

Widget ID mismatch.

The lvgl: block is empty or has a YAML indentation error.

"Allow HA actions" is not enabled.

Wrong entity_id or HA hasn't pushed a value.

Using on_value instead of on_release.

Missing the sync-back binary_sensor.
