Retro Desktop - Windows 95-style LVGL UI for ESPHome
Retro Desktop is a Windows 95-style UI pack for ESPHome LVGL: pixel-perfect beveled 3D buttons, title-bar windows with close boxes, a taskbar and start button, chunky progress bars, and classic grey-and-navy chrome. They are visual LVGL designs - you export them as ESPHome YAML and wire them to your own ESP32 controls and Home Assistant entities.
The beveled, hard-shadow 90s-desktop look suits larger touchscreens used as wall panels and control surfaces, where the window-and-taskbar metaphor makes a touch UI instantly familiar. Components come pre-sized so a window or button already fits common ESP32 display resolutions.
The pack ships a complete, flashable example: a Retro 95 Desktop scene with draggable windows, desktop icons, and a live taskbar clock for a 720×720 panel. It is a UI showpiece (no Home Assistant data required) you can flash as-is or strip down into your own retro control panel.
